Berry Picker Picture

Since Emma has repeatedly demonstrated her nose picking abilities, we thought we'd let her try her hand at berries. It actually wasn't a planned event, but when we were out at the Williamson's earlier this month, Tyler noticed that their Saskatoon berry bushes were ready to be harvested, so the kids were sent out into the fields and put to work. They had a good time doing it, and as you can tell by the picture, they were out there until the sun went down. The Williamsons left for a British Columbian vacation the next day, and there were still plenty of berries to be picked, so Emma, Tammy, and Gramma Bourne went back out there a few days later to get the rest before the birds did. Again they had lots of fun, and I'm glad Emma finally got the chance to pick something she was allowed to eat afterwards.
